Correct maintenance

General advice for correct maintenance

Acrylic stone products, both domestic and professional, resist most chemical and mechanical exposure very well. However, as with all materials, care and a correct, regular cleaning plan is needed to ensure our products remain in perfect
condition.
Acrylic stone is non-porous and therefore does not absorb any liquid with which it comes into contact. Normal clearing requires water, a drop of domestic cleaning fluid and a damp cloth. Persistent stains can be rubbed out using a Scotch-Brite pad and an abrasive clearing liquid. Once a week you should fill the basin with hot water and add 1 or 2 teaspoons of liquid bleach, leaving it for an hour or so before emptying, rinsing and drying. It is important to remember that bleach can discolour the product if it is not completely removed, so after doing this you need to rinse with plenty of water. In conclusion, a variety of damage can occur as a result of diverse incidents over the course of time, and for which it is difficult to determine a case study before hand. It is therefore important to underline the intrinsic nature of acrylic stone, that enables it to be repaired with a few simple operations by anyone. Special repairs by a qualified technician would only be needed in exceptional cases.
